We hummed and hawed about going to Tinto for the amazing rasp forecast down to the south but with the risk of too much east in the wind.
Glencoe won the decision with a certain straight on the hill NE wind.
On the journey up it felt quite windy but at the launch beside the top of the chairlift it was remarkably smooth and not feeling that strong.
Launched straight into a 3-400 fpm average thermal.
Big regret about this flight.....
No camera onboard, so the amazing views from 7,000 feet asl above the clouds over the Beauchaille Etive Mor are for my personal memories only.
After closing the triangle, I decided it would be safer and more pleasant to land at Loch Tulla - wrong - it was horrible. |
